A través de sus redes sociales, la Academia de artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas difundió las listas cortas o «shortlists» de las películas que competirán por una nominación a la 94 entrega de los Oscar, el 2022. La lista abarca un total de entre 10 y 15 candidatos para cada una de las 10 categorías.
Lamentablemente, la película ‘Manco Cápac‘, dirigida por el cineasta Henry Vallejo, quedó fuera de la shortlist a la categoría «Mejor película internacional». Cintas como ‘El buen jefe’ y ‘Plaza Catedral’ de España y Panamá, respectivamente, sí continuaron en carrera.
Entre el 27 de enero y el 1 de febrero se dará inicio a la selección de películas y el 1 de febrero se hará oficial la lista final de nominados a los Oscar 2022. A continuación te mostramos las «shortlists» para cada categoría:
